Finishing a new building or renovating an existing space? We review the rooms, completed work and desired materials so the quote matches your needs, coordinating electrical and plumbing work before closing ceilings and walls.
Work that may be included
Plastering, gypsum and ceilings, flooring and tiles, surface preparation, paint and doors as agreed. Define each item’s area, measurement method, material specifications and approved sample, separating specialist-supplier work.
Clear material choices
Calling finishes economy or luxury does not define specifications. Identify the product or quality level, dimensions, colours, hardware and included installation, then approve alternatives before purchase or execution.
A sequence that reduces rework
Review installations, equipment points and drainage before final layers. Agree on protecting completed work, cleaning the site and recording room-by-room acceptance comments, following material instructions.
Prepare these details for a quote
- Recent photos of the spaces and their layout if available.
- Area, intended use and completed works.
- Preferred materials, approximate budget and supply scope.
Does the square-metre price include everything?
It depends on the quote’s items. Ask for a breakdown of floors, ceilings, paint, doors, installations, equipment and exclusions; never assume an item is included unless stated explicitly.
